Cash grab

Not only is the game extremely slow to load, but as of the latest update, you can only upgrade 2 rooms at a time unless you buy upgrades with bux, the real world resource

Unfortunate update

While the trend has been for this unusual space rpg to improve in content, the latest update heralds pushing gamers to pay. Be warned. The balance between grinding and paying to progress is changing towards a focus on your wallet. All of a sudden- Developers impose limitations on how many rooms can be constructed at a time (you can buy more with real cash) which will slow progress and discourage new gamers. Paired with an unacceptable number of bugs for a game thats been out this long- not encouraging. While part of me wants to recommend playing this game Ive enjoyed- I have to be fair- id look elsewhere for a place to invest time, joy, and effort. It is likely these developers will suddenly change game mechanics, strongly pushing you to pay more and continue to take away perks that had previously been free. Id look for a more stable game where the developers are less prone to suddenly changing how much you pay and what you pay for. A real shame.

Pretty fun

Pretty fun

FTL in Freemium Format, Great so far

Ive dumped about 15 hours of active time into this game over the course of a week, and so far, its pretty awesome. I also havent paid for anything yet, the premium cash is "Star Bucks" (har har), but you get it pretty regularly via drop ships, achievements and some other ways. I would definitely recommend this game for others if you liked FTL, but didnt like the rogue like aspect

Was way better before update

So I have been playing this for a long time. I love it. With the new update, I HATE it. I used to be able to upgrade about 10 things at a time. Now I have to pay to get more upgrades. Thats fricking messed up. I want this changed. I blew threw all of my space bucks to get 3 upgrades at a time and its so stupid. I hope that they will read my view. If they change this "update so its back to normal I will change my rating back to 5 stars.

Very good by Kirisecrum

So I do like this games but this need to fix one small thing for pvp. Because every time you get your enemy health low then your then when the time run out you lose the match. I hope they see this message in the future.

Improving...

Theyre definitely very responsive to feedback, and they have a great support team, still wish we could go back to being able to upgrade as many rooms as we liked, and I wish pvp could go back to how it used to be (sometimes small, but sometimes very large sums of resources)...other than that its a fun game.

Dont try to pay

The latest update does not let your coins be transferred. I dont mind paying5 or 10 a month to support a good game. However I expect the coins to be transferred. Great dog style game. More single player and story mode options need to be added.

Not Worth Getting Invested In

Couldnt get past the lengthy and frustratingly unskippable tutorial. Like most freemium games, it telegraphs early on that its going to be hitting you up for cash quite often. Not really interested in another pay to play time sink, especially when FTL is on the same platform.

Limitations on building

Clearly the developers got greedy. They wanted to put a limit to how many rooms you can build. You can pay money to increase this, but it costs real money. Unfair to new players and to veterans, I would be wary. Next they may even put a limit on how many times you can use the teleporter. But you have to pay money. The developers should have known better. If you gave functionally to your players, dont take it away. For someone who wants to upgrade their ship, it would slow the pace down, not allowing anyone to catch up to the current players at the top 100. They need to give more back to the players. An award for tournaments is around 100 starbux, not a whole lot for something once a month. Thats basically $1. Where as most things cost rush construction or purchase features are around 500. Either increase the amount of starbux per currency buy, or down the cost of items and rush construction. The developers are not playing fair in this game, buyer beware.

MORE recommendations

1:more APPROPRIATE tutorial guide(current one is inappropriate) 2:An actual Online player PVP option 3:better rewards for PVP battles 4:Different dropship types(Like a golden one or a emerald one) 5:AWESOMER character options(for the captain),such as character customizations

Worst update ever seen for a app

In the last update not only did I get robbed of my farmed materials but I was robbed of 200+ in game cash. The best part of this update was the switch from English to so unknown language. I give this game a -4.5 I only reason why Im not deleting it off my phone right now is the .5% chance the developers rectify this god forsaken mishap. Ill be updating this review the next time theres a update for the game. My advice to anyone wanting to download this game right now is. just dont.

Fun game

Needs some work tho to hard to upgrade your ship.

Super fun game

Really good starship building game! Just got it a few days ago and have fallen in love with it!

Every time

Its so unfortunate that it was Such a good game but now they give you a cap on how much you can upgrade at a time? Such a step back.. Its not relevant to the game.. Just a grab at your wallets.. I thought this game would be different.

Great game!

Adorable and fun.

Fun

I believe that these types of games fail when they start but this game I enjoy because of its originality. Its whole premise is fun and the selection of captain to type of ship has its fun.

Awsome

This game is pretty good, but you have to play like crazy because construction takes forever and the game is not really hard

Its great

The game does have time issues but you can get starbux easily by just waiting for ads and the floating starbux and drop ships. You can just check for me while watching a video or something.

No Good For New Players

In most games where the design is set up to control game play by spending game currency, the designers usually give new players a big bucket of credits to start. The idea is to get the newbie hooked on the game features before making them spend hours watching a countdown that allows them to make their next move. But here is what my experience was like for the first ten minutes I played. I was led by the nose through a "tutorial" that was written like a simple walk through. Then I fought in two sample combats where I couldnt tell how much damage I was doing or if my decisions really had any effect on the outcome. Then I found out I would need to wait 2 1/2 hours for a new crewmate if I wanted to play further. Guess what? I dont want to play further.
