In most games where the design is set up to control game play by spending game currency, the designers usually give new players a big bucket of credits to start.
The idea is to get the newbie hooked on the game features before making them spend hours watching a countdown that allows them to make their next move.
But here is what my experience was like for the first ten minutes I played. I was led by the nose through a "tutorial" that was written like a simple walk through.
Then I fought in two sample combats where I couldnt tell how much damage I was doing or if my decisions really had any effect on the outcome.
Then I found out I would need to wait 2 1/2 hours for a new crewmate if I wanted to play further.
Guess what? I dont want to play further.
